Remind me: Why did I teach Ann the Invention of Lying?

I think The Invention of Lying should be mandatory watching for anyone that values honesty above everything else. You could fill up a Twitter feed with funny quotes from that movie. It reminded me of 40-year-old Virgin in that I wasn’t really expecting much when I sat down to watch it and was pleasantly surprised with the movie.

Ann used to be those people. I remember walking around at Christmas with my hand over her mouth to keep her from telling all the little nephews and nieces that Santa Claus was a cruel trick being played on them by their parents. I’ve still got bite marks from her frustration at not being allowed to tell the truth.

Nowadays, she corrects words that I’m pronouncing correctly with an incorrect pronunciation. I guess I really messed up on the day I decided to teach her humor!
